You should check it out even if you don't have a nikon d40, because it should work with most cameras that have a WIA driver.

Hi compukidmike,
just taking a chance that you still monitor this blog - how do I install the software? I am getting an error that says that a dll file is not the most recent...
This works with a D50 by the way. Just in case anyone cares to ask.
I was hoping I could compile your software to work on Linux - doesn't look like it given its coded in VB.
